Starting the morning with a cup of coffee seems to have become a habit of many people in many parts of the world. However, that doesn't mean they all drink exactly the same cups of coffee. Let's look at coffee drinking styles around the world to see what's unique in each country, especially in Vietnam.
Kaffeost - Finland: cheese coffee
It's so special to drink coffee with... cheese. It may sound a bit "weird" and I don't know what this flavor combination will be like, but Finns really like drinking coffee with Juustoleipä (frozen cheese).
Yuanyang - Malaysia: milk tea coffee
Yuanyang is a combination of black tea, milk and coffee in a ratio of 3 parts coffee to 7 parts milk tea. This drink can be used hot or cold and is delicious.
Café de Olla - Mexico: combination with cane sugar and cinnamon
Boiled with cinnamon sticks, traditional Mexican coffee uses piloncillo (unrefined cane sugar) and drunk from a clay cup. Mexican people believe that this way of enjoying coffee truly brings out the best flavor of coffee.
Pharisäer - Germany: sophisticated with many complex ingredients
It's really meticulous when combining coffee with so many ingredients like sugar, rum, whipped cream and chocolate. This must be a very popular drink in Germany.
Mazagran - Portuguese: lemon coffee
Have you ever imagined what coffee mixed with lemon or lemon soda would be like? This is the way to drink coffee in Portugal.
Qahwa - Saudi Arabia: spices
Here, people will combine coffee with spices including cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, saffron and ginger to create a special flavor.
Vietnamese filter coffee: simple iced milk coffee
It is no stranger to the image of a coffee filter dripping drop by drop, then stirring with a little condensed milk. Simple tools, no need for fancy machines or "spices", that's the way Vietnamese people enjoy coffee. This traditional Vietnamese drink is considered to retain the flavor of pure coffee.
