A juicer is a commonly used device in many family kitchens that delivers delicious and nutritious cups of juice. However, the structure of the juicer is made from many different components with many discrete accessories and sharp blades. Therefore, it causes difficulty in cleaning and preserving properly.

Steps to clean the juicer
Shutdown
Immediately after using the machine, turn it off and unplug the machine from the electrical outlet.
Disassemble the machine
Remove the fruit pulp container from the machine and empty the pulp into the trash.
Next, remove the safety lock on both sides of the machine, lift the lid off the machine, and use a plastic spoon to remove all the fiber residue stuck to the lid during the grinding process.
Then, lift the blending hopper including the filter screen and blending knife out of the machine body.
Soak and wash machine parts
Once the machine's parts have been disassembled, wash each part with warm water to clean any remaining lint residue on the machine.
Then, take a basin of hot water with soap mixed in and soak the machine's parts in it.
Proceed to clean the machine's parts
After soaking with soap, use a sponge to scrub the machine's parts.
For areas that are too small to be scrubbed, such as the mouth of the juice outlet, use a small brush to scrub.
Wash the blender knife and strainer
When washing the blender and strainer, it is best to use a brush rather than a sponge. Use a brush to thoroughly rub the blades as well as the edges of the filter until completely clean.
If you can't clean the strainer with a brush, try soaking it in a mixture of 1 part lemon juice and 9 parts water. This mixture will help you clean stubborn residue stuck to the filter mesh.
Dry machine parts
After washing all parts of the machine, rinse with hot water and dry with a towel or let dry naturally.
Clean the body of the machine
Use a soft damp cloth to wipe the outside of the machine body, avoiding water from wetting the body of the machine.
Assembly and storage
Finally, after the machine's parts have been cleaned and dried, reassemble the machine's parts and store them in a cool place so that the machine is well preserved for future uses.
Some notes when cleaning the juicer
What should be done
- Clean the machine immediately after use because the lint residue dries and becomes dirty streaks that are difficult to clean.
- Carefully wash the parts, absolutely no residue or soapy water remains.
- If you use the juicer multiple times a day, just wash it the last time you use it.
- Between different uses during the day, it can be rinsed with clean water.
What not to do
- Do not let water get on the juicer body during cleaning because this is the part that contains the juicer motor.
- Do not use strong detergents or abrasives that will damage machine parts and harm the user's health.
- Do not leave the machine used or uncleaned for many days.
